Admission

Next admission is for Summer 1 2010. Online program spaces are limited! If you haven’t done so already, Click Here to add your name to a program contact list. Prospective online students are notified of available program space based on the date this form is completed.

Online program spaces are reserved ONLY for prospective students who have received emailed notification, from the Office of Distance Education, that program spaces are open. Those who apply for admission without this emailed notification CANNOT be assured of space in online courses.

Admission Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university;
  • Official transcripts with an overall GPA of at least 2.75 OR at least 2.5 with very strong recommendations. If you do not have an overall GPA of 2.5, please contact the Office of Teacher Education Advising and Licensure at 704-687-8725 or the Teacher Recruiter at 704-687-8684 for assistance and advice before you apply to the Graduate Certificate in Teaching.
  • Three recommendations from persons knowledgeable of your academic performance and your interaction with children or youth;
  • Application as a Graduate Certificate in Teaching student using the online ApplyYourself admission application at http://graduateschool.uncc.edu/admissions/apply-now.html.
